Every time I read the scriptures I am reminded of how much I love this gospel! The Book of Mormon is a marvelous work filled with testimonies and teachings of Christ. Reading in general is something I love, but even if I had just this one book I feel I could be complete still. Sometimes it's difficult for me to understand how others can know, and even be part of this gospel, yet still deny Christ's even existance. I feel blessed that I have not had to face that level of unsurity and disbelief. I see every part of life--of this world--more facts and evidence that CHRIST DOES LIVE!! He lives and breathes even as we do! Life in general can be such a wonderful experience. It definitely is not easy or always imediately rewarding, but it is definitely worth it! Everything we learn, everything we do, everything we think can have a purpose, a meaning, an importance to us--if we let it. As we go through our day to day lives, I believe we need to remember why we are here and where we are heading. [that can be taken spiritually as well as temporally]. Christ gives us the scriptures and living prophets to teach us the gospel and give us purpose for life. Remember that Christ lives! Remember that He suffered in Gethsemene for every physical, spiritualy, mental, emotional pain and weakness that we have and will face. Remember that He was RESURRECTED!! He was resurected so that we may be, even as He was. Remember that it is by following the commandments of God and keeping our covenants with Him that we can return to Him and have everlasting joy.
"And now, my sons, remember, remember that it is upon the rock of our Redeemer, who is Christ, the Son of God, that ye must build your foundation; that when the devil shall send forth his mighty winds, yea, his shafts in the whirlwind, yea, when all his hail and his mighty storm shall beat upon you, it shall have no power over you to drag you down to the gulf of misery and endless wo, because of the rock upon which ye are built, which is a sure foundation, a foundation whereon if men build they cannot fall." (Helaman 5:12)
